Peter and I spent last week Thursday and Friday nights away. It was a really enjoyable, relaxing time together. We had no timed activities, other than our super amazing massages on Friday afternoon, so we slept when we were tired, ate when we were hungry, and talked and walked in peace. It was lovely. The kids did well with us gone, and Matthew did well during the day, but at night was a handful. He didn't sleep much, so our sitters didnt either. Thankfully there were extra sitters so the one that stayed up with Matthew ended up being able to sleep eventually.
Yesterday was the 8th anniversary of our Edmonton wedding. There are so many sweet memories of that day.
Today is a yucky day and I'm feeling it bad. Emotionally, physically and mentally. I am still dealing with a constant headache (8 weeks + now) and it's really bad today. It's not stress related- massage didnt help at all, not sinuses- neti pot made no difference, not diet related- been GF for 2+ weeks and no difference, not thyroid related, numbers are good, and I'm NOT preggo. I will be calling a chiropractor to set up an appointment to see if that will help. I'm at the end of my rope with this beast and I'm ready for it to be gone.
In other news...
Caleb has lost his 6th tooth! He's now got a nice gap in his front teeth when he smiles and he lisps. It's so cute. He's doing better with his allergies now, but is getting a bit of a cold so his breathing has been a little harder. He can't wait to have snow to play in, but cant hardly wait until next summer either so he can ride his bike again.
Daniel is the usual dare devil that he's always been. He love to help Peter outside and his brute strength is like nothing I've ever seen on a 5 year old! He keeps coming up with the funniest things, keeping the mood light. Just don't make him mad. lol
Lucas's life is pretty normal for a 4 year old. He plays, and runs and jumps all day long. His speech is getting SO much better, even when he is crabby, we can understand him pretty well now. He's such a sensitive boy though, so it's definitely a change from our other 2 boys. He loves to hold Matthew and love on him, and he and Kimberly are best buds most days.
Kimberly is still working on the potty training. She PEED ON THE POTTY by herself yesterday!!! I was so excited, and am waiting for it to become a regular occurrence. She insists on wearing undies, so I usually let her, except at bed time and when we go out. She LOVES her baby brother and they will laugh and laugh together. It's the cutest thing, but also a reason I sit in the back of church with Matthew. lol She loves all the girly things- shoes, getting her hair done, babies, purses, fashion... you name it. Her vocabulary is growing daily and she loves to talk.
Matthew is growing up so fast. He has started to pull himself up at the couch, by the toy box, dishwasher and the stool I have in the kitchen. He is usually pretty easy going, but is still a huge mama's boy. He loves to snuggle and to fall asleep will suck his ring and pinky fingers on his left hand. He is getting better with sitting by Peter long enough for me to get something done without throwing a fit, which is nice, for me and for Peter. He LOVES to ride in the sling if we're out shopping, going for a walk, at the park, or even if I'm just vacuuming. He will fall asleep quite often if he's in there, and I don't feel like my arms are going to fall off.
That's all for now, folks, as I will be making this blog private. If you want to keep reading, drop me an e-mail and I'll get you on the list. If not, you can private message me on Facebook, e-mail or call to know what's going on with us if you're interested.

Hello fall!
I noticed it's been a while since my last post, so here's another one to keep ya'll happy. :)
The weather has cooled considerably, but that doesn't keep my outdoorsy boys in the house. They love to be out, in almost any weather. They are waiting for the snow. Peter is not. lol
Matthew is now 8 months old! He has cut his first tooth, started to pull himself up on things (mostly Kimberly's little chair and the fireplace), and tries to crawl on all fours instead of army crawl. He still isn't sleeping through the night consistently, but seems to when I need it the most... So, we know he CAN, just not as often as my other kids were at this age. I usually don't mind too bad unless it's more than twice a night that he's up.
Kimberly is definitely 2. She has been throwing more fits, and is constantly getting into things. She loves to comb her hair, brush her teeth and wash her hands, and each of those results in a bathroom counter covered in water. :S We have attempted to potty train, but she will not go on the potty. I will sit with her in the bathroom for hours if I had time and she will not go. We have sat in there as long as 20 minutes without so much as a tinkle, only for her to pee her pants 10 minutes later in the kitchen, or she'll wait until she gets a diaper on for nap time... stinker. So, we're taking a break, and will try again in a couple weeks. She still loves to love on Matthew and can often have him cracking up just by looking at him. It's too cute to watch. :)
Lucas is pretty much the same... he is talking a lot better in complete sentences and clearer. There are still a few words that are harder to understand, but when I think of where he was a year ago, it's a HUGE improvement, for which we are very thankful.
Daniel continues to excel at his school work and loves to be with Peter or Grandpa any chance he gets. He always has something to say that leaves us chuckling. He's quite the character. He's been going through a growth spurt lately and has been eating us out of house and home. lol He loves to sit with Sparky, but Sparky usually doesn't like to oblige...
Caleb is loving his schoolwork and likes his language arts the best. He's learning to read! I can't believe he's growing up so fast. He has also started catechism and loves it. I think it's his weekly highlight. :) He always comes out with a smile on his face and stories to tell. :)
Peter and I are looking forward to celebrating our 8th wedding anniversary this month! I can't believe it's been that long already, and yet it seems we've been married for so long... God has blessed us in so many ways in our years together. We are actually going away for a couple nights sans kids, and although I'm really excited about it, I'm also a little nervous as this is the first time we've done something like this... But I'm so glad we have the friends and family willing to care for our precious little ones while we're away. :) Should be a good, much needed, relaxing time. And no, I'm not telling the world where we're going... lol
Well, that's about all that's going on here... not too much new.
