It's been busy month!

I just realized it's been almost 2 months since I've posted... time for an update.

Since my last post, Caleb, Lucas, Matthew and I have been seeing a chiropractor regularly and I'm SO happy to finally be headache free most of the time again! It has been too long since I've been able to say that. However, Matthew still continued to be up 1-3 times a night until last night where he slept 11 hours straight again. The difference? I'm no longer on anything dairy. He's a totally different baby during the day too. He naps good, sleeps deeper, and plays longer without needing constant attention. And it's just been 2 days of no dairy! I'll gladly give it up for good if this is the result!

We also are buying a farm!!! YES, A FARM!!! 20 acres with a big barn, tool shed, chicken/ pig coop (which will be filled one day), and a bigger house! We are closing on it at the end of this month and will start moving the things that we dont need here as soon as we get possession, which should be at closing. We are SOOO excited and thankful that we were given this opportunity! We have some work to do in the new house, but will be able to keep living here until it is completed. I am excited but nervous about this huge change in our lives. The boys can't wait as they have really big plans of what they're going to do when we move. They'd like to move tomorrow. Peter is going to have to work from the toolshed for a little while until we can build him a decent shop, hopefully by winter he'll have his new one. You can see pics of the farm here. Let me know if the link does not work.

Peter has been a little slower the last couple weeks, but it's been a relief for him too. We know that he only has a few more weeks before it's nose to the grindstone, burning the candle at both ends crazy again. He is still working lots, but we do get to see him more, which is a nice balance. We are thankful to God for providing the work to provide our family with what we need.

I have been doing ok. I've been having some PPD issues again, but with some supplements, support and exercise, I've been fighting it off and today I'm having a really good day. I have found that journaling really helps me sort everything out and get focused again. I am thankful for friends and family alike that have been really supportive. I have a lot of work ahead of me to get this house ready for sale and the new one ready to live in, and that helps me too. I love dreaming of what our house will look like with all the finishing touches done.

Caleb is doing better allergy-wise, and thanks to a supplement he's been taking, it has been easier for him to focus on his school and he's been getting it done quicker. We really noticed a difference when we ran out (my bad) and his focus was gone. Completely gone. I think he has some of the biggest plans for the new house of all the boys and is SO excited to move there. He can't wait until he can play, run, ride bike, have a big dog, have cows, chickens, pigs, etc, etc.... you get the point. He's excited. He's also excited for tomorrow. He will no longer be 6! Yes, it's his 7th birthday and he wants his whole catechism class to come to his party next week. LOL I told him he can pick 3 friends. We are having Peter's parents over Saturday for fried chicken and cake, (as is the custom here now) and his friends are coming next Saturday for the party. I can't believe how fast that 7 years went!

Daniel is... well, Daniel I guess. He always knows what to say to crack us up, but he's also so loving with his younger sister and baby brother. He has a hard time watching videos as there's usually something not so nice that happens and his heart nearly breaks. He may act all tough, but deep down he's a little softie. He's a really fast learner and is flying through his school books. He loves everything in his books now, and I hope that love to learn keeps growing. My hope is that I'm fostering that love to learn and not hindering it.

Lucas is doing well. He has some hyperactivity that is hard for him to control sometimes, but he's getting better. We are also *trying* to get him to stay dry at night. Right now it's a hit and miss thing. The longest he's gone in a row is 2 nights dry. I have to keep reminding myself that it takes baby steps sometimes, and that not every kid will be like Caleb was and dry from the day he quit with the pull-ups. We had to quit the pull-ups with Lucas because he NEVER kept them dry. EVER. So, yes, I'm doing a lot of sheets through the laundry, but if that's the way he learns, then so be it.

Kimberly is growing up! She is now potty trained for daytime, but still is scared of the big toilet, and wears diapers at night. She has a HUGE bladder though because she will stay dry the whole time we're gone anywhere. I usually take extra clothes for her just in case, but we have not had to use them yet. She is also talking in longer sentences. And learning new words. She reminds us that we have to watch what is said as she will repeat nearly everything she hears. Oops. lol

Matthew is growing up WAY too fast! He is now pulling up on anything and everything and has graduated from army crawling to all-fours crawling... sometimes. lol He is such a ham when he's happy and loves to cuddle when he's tired, which is really nice. Sometimes I feel like those moments are too far between, so I try to treasure them when they do. He is still a mama's boy, but is getting a lot better for Peter too. I can't believe that in just over a month he will celebrate his first birthday! That year really seems to have flown by, and we are thankful for every day.

That's today's update, and I will try be a little better at posting. No promises though, as we're facing a few VERY busy months coming up. :)
