The joys of summer... Bike rides, water fights and extremely dirty house. I give up. I'm not cleaning all day, every day, but it does get cleaned at least once a week... It's unending between the 3 boys and Kimberly being outside as much as they can be and the sand they track in. I am longingly awaiting the day that the family room is hard floors instead of carpet. I could vacuum 24/7 and still not get all the sand out.
I was hoping to be able to do bike rides with the kids this summer, but our road is SO busy being the detour for 142nd which they have all ripped up for construction that I hardly dare walk out to get the mail sometimes! I'm hoping once they have 142 open again that we can try it, as all the boys now ride 2 wheeler bikes that will make it over the washboard dirt road. Lucas is flying around on a 16 inch bike now and Caleb has upgraded to a 20". Wow, I wasn't even riding a 2 wheeler at any of their ages... and I know Peter wasn't even owning a bike yet! Craziness!
Sparky has adjusted well to our chaos. He does get defensive when Caleb and Daniel are fighting over him, which I can hardly blame him for as it sometimes looks like they're gonna pull him in half! He's super quiet, hardly barking unless he's outside and someone pulls into the yard. We do have to watch the door, cuz if it's open, he will try to sneak out to play with the neighbors' dogs. All in all, it's going well though. I'm so thankful he's house trained. Makes it a ton easier on me... not constantly cleaning up after him or worrying about it. :)
Well that's about all I got for now... I'll update again when there's something to update!
