Since my last post, we have nearly completed the house to the point of move-in. We found out we are expecting another wonderful blessing in December, and on top of all that, the every day stuff that you can't get away from.
This week the work has been fast and hard getting the trim back up in the house. The counters are also in (SO EXCITED that I have granite!!!), and we hope to move some things over this weekend- ie. the living room furniture that we're not using for much more that a dump spot for packed boxes and pictures that are no longer hanging on the walls. I have not been to the house to see the counters installed, but hope to be up there tomorrow to get some pics. From the pics that Peter took with his phone, it looks amazing. He did a good job picking :)
I am almost 18 weeks along, and feeling ok. I still have a lot of fatigue and occasional nausea, but I have managed to not puke yet. The nasty headaches have also returned. The chiro adjustments help with the severity, but not the frequency. Right now they're every day, all day long. Usually worse first thing in the morning and then they subside a little, then come back around 3-4 in the afternoon. I have noticed that they are worse when I don't get my minimum gallon of water a day- but that increases the normal pregnancy bathroom trips, so it's a little annoying.
Peter has been CRAZY busy between work and the house. We feel so lucky lately to have him home for supper as that has not been a regular thing lately. A lot of days some of the kids don't see much, if anything, of him, which makes for some really long days. We are thankful for the work though, and try to make the most of the time we do have together as a family.
Caleb has been learning to mow the grass for us, and he LOVES that job. He does a pretty good job of it too- with only a few tufts here and there that he missed- usually on the corners. He also got the last 2 teeth in the front back in, so his smile will no longer be so open now. :) He is now almost up to my shoulder standing up- he will be taller than me in a couple years...
Daniel is eager to follow in Caleb's foot steps and has also been mowing a little here and there. He thinks he's pretty big stuff when he gets to, and quite upset when he doesn't. He keeps talking about learning to read better so his teeth will start falling out. Yes, he's a little strange, but hilarious.
Lucas has been dealing with some health issues. A couple nights ago, he had what seemed like an athsma attack. He has never been diagnosed with either allergies or athsma, but we are working at getting rid of possible triggers for his attack. It was scary for him, but thankfully, I was able to deal with it effectively and quickly using steam from the shower and eucalyptus essential oil to bring it under control. He was acting pretty normal the next morning and only an occasional cough has lingered. He has been enjoying the occasional trips to the farm so he can ride his bike again, and loves doting on and playing with his sister.
Kimberly is now 3! She had her birthday almost 2 weeks ago, and it still seems unreal to me. She loves to tag along with the boys and has had to learn to defend herself on occasion. She also loves to play babies and will play with Matthew a lot too, especially when they're supposed to be going to sleep. Oh, the giggles though are SO cute! She is also dry at night now, so yay, only ONE child in diapers!!! I'm going to enjoy that for the next 6 months... :)
Matthew has learned to walk, and is talking like crazy- in complete sentences often too. He's doing a lot better at night now and loves to be out with the big kids. He's definitely my little monkey climber- on top of anything and everything he can possibly get up on. We thought Daniel was a stinker, but Matthew definitely gives Daniel a run for his money for that title. He is such a joy and we cannot imagine life without him- even if he gets a little noisy (Daniel has complained the most about that...)
That's all for an update right now. I don't know when I'll be able to update again with moving and such- it'll depend on how long it takes to get internet at the new house.
Thanks for reading!
